The NBA has consumers throughout the world in over 200 countries.  This high volume of consumers has created a high demand, which put the NBA in a situation to need the assistance of a company with the ability to create an information system to mean the demand of these consumers, and the wide based of the NBA’s network of teams. The NBA needed a website to provide up-to-date and live information about the status of the players and the teams in the league.  In order to provide this information the NBA needed an information management company to create a site, which could be updated and maintained by multiple users, and to be accessible to all their consumers globally without interruption. Akamai OS Streaming was able to provide the NBA with hosting on over 25,000 servers and live internet streaming. In addition, Akamai allows the NBA to manage and control its media efficiently in order to maintain consumer and advertiser satisfaction.
